Handled all aspects of construction, including below- and above-grade plumbing, electrical work with service panel installation, rooftop HVAC, and kitchen ventilation. Managed installation of kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers, and metal wall framing, as well as drywall, painting, ceramic quarry tile, stained concrete, and restrooms. Oversaw custom bar construction, TV and sound system installation, exterior patio work, privacy fence and bollards, fire detection systems, and signage. Coordinated multiple trades to ensure the project was completed on schedule, met all design specifications, and maintained the highest standards of craftsmanship.

The Building Connection, headed by Joe DeFrancesco, is known for exceeding expectations thanks to thoughtful planning, reliability, professionalism and expertise. Joe brought these skills to his business after working on construction projects in high school, college and for some years after college. He was working as a foreman when he combined his craftsmanship, business administration background and entrepreneurial spirit to established his own contract carpentry company in 1981. The business served the Chicagoland area, was extremely successful and in 1992 Joe expanded The Building Connection to include general contracting work and services.
Now it’s hundreds of projects later and The Building Connection is responsible for beautiful and successful custom homes, renovations, remodels, restaurants, hospital construction and office build-outs.
